The Crew

"The Crew" is what we affectionately call our group of like-minded community members who have come together with the unified intention to share what we believe it's all about:  The horses, the livestock and the people.  Together we have formed The Canadian Bridlehorse Association

Our crew is headed up by the Canadian Bridlehorse Association president, Miles Kingdon who, from his earliest cowboying days over 40 years ago on the vast Canadian prairie pasture lands of the PFRA, to British Columbia's historic big cow outfits, has certainly worn out his share of custom saddles. His formative years spent at Douglas Lake Cattle Company, under such respected horsemen as Stan Murphy and cattlemen Mike Ferguson and Orval Roulston, set the stage for later lead-off positions at large established commercial ranches in the Nicola Valley. Miles has been sitting on the judges panel at the Early Californio Skills of the Rancho since 2018, as well as that of the Mane Event's Trainers Challenge for since 2008. He has been judging Ranch Horse competitions at ranch rodeos since 2016 and on top of his vast judging experience, Miles has plenty of real life, working cowboy experience to draw on, qualifying him above and beyond as an ideal source of realistic and honest guidance. We are honored to be working with someone with his knowledge, experience and skill. There are a number of other crew members who serve as the "board of directors" for the Canadian Bridlehorse Association, men and women from all over BC, AB and even as far reaching as SK. Julie Crawford is the Primary Contact for the events and resources East of the Rockies and serves as the Vice President of the Association and Dave Ciriani is the Primary Contact for events and resources West of the Rockies. Some of our crew members also offer education and support to others who are wishing to get involved and learn more about this system of horsemanship and stockmanship. You can learn more about the Canadian Bridlehorse Association by visiting the website at: www.canadianbridlehorse.com
